1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

right on. i'm was in the same boat as you earlier this year...

Advice: in order to get the most bang for the buck, i would try to get a decent ATI graphics card... (http://www.hardware-revolution.com/best-video-card-february-2012/)
you should also consider getting an AMD motherboard & chipset... (http://www.hardware-revolution.com/best-cpu-best-processor-april-2012/)
i would also seriously consider getting a legit heatsink... the ones that come with your cpu are flimsy at best.
http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=698854 - something like this should work.. (might be a little bit pricier than you would like).
you can also check that forum for used goods... just as good imo.

    Question:
1)also, are you looking at a microatx form factor or a normal ATX tower? i think the micro atx's are a bit more pricey but are a lot smaller... (my current rig is about 17" tall vs. my previous rig which was closer to 25" or so)

    2) Check to see if your 32" SS TV/monitor is close to 1080P quality. if not, invest in a decent monitor... (i really like the LG 236v's... imo, they are the best bang for the buck led monitors out on the market right now... and they're close to EOL so you should be able to find them pretty cheap)

I liked the beta quite a bit. Run smooth for me, too. Hardly any problems, no lag. Just so short, but whatever, two weeks to go. :)

The bosses look HUGE and way more difficult than D2 bosses.

This isn't even a act boss.

the big monster at 0:20 in the TV spot is reminiscent of the siege breaker. im betting him and "thousand pounder," the other "fake" boss from the early promo videos make an appearance somewhere.

TV spot was awesome though. there's been rumours going around that diablo is a girl this time around and this ad seems to be leaning that way. 15 days left :slayer:

Meh, not that great a TV spot in my estimation. I mean the ME3 one was a good spot. This is just like "take 5 second clips out of videos in the game and splice them together".

i would rather see that than some prototype-esque garbage overlaid with johnny cash covering nin. that is a terrible ad.

i think it probably has to do with the fact that d3 is PC/mac only. if you have a pc and are anywhere remotely interested in PC gaming, you already know about d3; no need to convert the masses of cod kiddies to play your sweet new game.

RE: prototype johnny cash ad: It really pisses me off that game ads nowadays never show actual gameplay footage. Seriously FFS :fu:

I had never heard of prototype somehow, and I shouldn't have to go search the internet for gameplay to find out what the hell the game is imho.

I know nothing about WoW but how does Blizzard get away with charging a monthly fee for that game? How come it doesn't try to do that for other games?

because it is an MMO that requires constant ongoing development outside of paid expansions and a huge support staff. There is no "offline solo" component to an MMO like other games.

there's the link, ugh, i dont want to wait 2 more weeks.

this might be another mishmash of clips from game cinematics but damn does blizzard ever set the CG standard every time they release a product. tasty spoiler for the story, too
