After holding on to (clinging) to first place since May in the AL Central, the Detroit Tigers are down to a one game duel with the Twins (who seem to have our number.) What makes it worse is that the game will be played in the Dome.
Today, Mitch Albom put it nicely:
"First, get there, which means Tuesday, at the indoor thunder palace, against a team that seemÂingly has forgotten how to lose. The Twins have scored 36 runs in their past four games. Against that jugÂgernaut, the Tigers will offer up Rick Porcello, who this Christmas will still be too young (20) to legally drink spiked eggnog."
Tiger fans can hope. This is all seems like a movie. Where's Robert Redford?
Back in April, no one expected ANYTHING from the Tigers. They have delivered everything.
