Okay, I fell in love with that belt/sash/whatever on the left(see attachment). Anyone care to give me some details. Apparently it's military or something. Any chance I(as a civilian) could wear something like that and get away with it? credits to james sherwood

Go to home goods. That is used for curtains often, and if you can pull that off, more power to you.
