I have a formal tunic shirt, I have a detachable wing collar. I do not however have the studs necessary to attach the collar. This is how it arrived from the retailer. Does anyone know where I might get some? Preferably brick and mortar.

Unfortunately, www.oldscyene.com is not quite brick and mortar, but this google thing is interesting I'll keep it in mind for future purposes. Other than that, I'm in the Washington D.C. area, I called up brooks brothers and they don't carry them apart from buying a full shirt/collar set.

A dedicated formal wear store might have them, but I doubt it.

If you're dedicated to Brick & Mortar, there might be some sort of church-wear store in DC selling vestments that might have them. Even Cokesbury sells collar studs. Clergy has to shop somewhere.

Honestly, an antique store is more likely to have them than about any clothing store outside NYC or London.

Buying them off the net (from the UK, where they are more popular) is easy though. http://www.dennys.co.uk/Catalogue.asp?PrGrp=41 or an online vestment seller: http://www.cokesbury.com/forms/Produ...spx?pid=359465

By the way, I have the formal shirt from the Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece line, the one with the removable wing collar. That collar stud from the website looks exactly the same as the one that came with my shirt.

You'll want a flat one for the back of the shirt though.

Check a clergy supply store. Since you are in DC, check the bookstore/supply store at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. You might also look for a Cokesbury bookstore too. Clergy collars attach with either steel or brass and plastic collar studs. They come in a variety of lengths and are pretty cheap.
