No body gets it. Near as I can tell they dumped it. I am now actively looking and I don't see it anywhere in the olympic coverage.

They've still got those fucking mascots though. Whoever designed those should be flogged.

Who on earth approved the typeface they're using for everything though?

That looks like it was part of the WO package. Contracts are contracts.

Still, I would demanded they execute one AD and two assistants.

This line - "the marketing equivalent of Michael Phelps' fourth-place finish in the 400 IM."

While we're on the subject of ads running during the Olympics, this one stuck out to me as a well-done spot:

The solid mix of contemporary cues is spot-on for the target. Out of everyone, I think Chrysler made some fantastic decisions on agencies to rebuild themselves after the bail-out.

Found it on the medals and the boxing ring. Otherwise, Nope.

Funny, that spot hits the marks as you say, but I find it dated and a little dull.

Now that I'm actively looking I do see it around. Still ugly as hell.

On the topic of the olympics. Did you guys "get" the ending ceremony? I watched it last night with the gf and we both did'nt know what to think of it. Perhaps that was the idea, but to me it should be less contrived..

But I guess our views are contrarian to popular opinion as the newspapers here all have raving reviews....

That reminds me, if you've got a thing for pop-ups (as anyone who appreciates intricate design should be) you should definitely check this one out. I leave it out at my apartment and nearly everyone that stops by loves flipping through it. It's almost sad that they'll pass up the hundred-dollar photography and design books to look at this one, haha.
