Seiko has always made very rugged movements, and their styling is sporty and unique.
But the problem with vinatge watches in general is that you have to expect that unless you are buying a watch that the seller has assured you as being recently serviced, expcect that you may soon have to factor in an overhaul at anywhere from $80-$200 depending on the movement and its condition.
Also, regarding vintage watches, the crystals are often acrylic, not sapphire or mineral glass as you will find on modern watches. The bracelets are generally very flimsy as well.
These are just some things you should keep in mind.
