Desert boots with shorts?

Wondering if anybody can point me in the direction of some fits that combine shorts with desert boots -or- is this just a bad idea?

Funny, I tried it yesterday with Clark's beeswax just to see what it looked like. Not good. They look funny/smallish at the ankle. Stick with jeans and the dbs.

I'd love to hear suggestions for non-sneaker shoes with shorts. I'm sure there are many other threads though.

Love doing boots and hitops with shorts, depends on the shoes and shorts as with all things really.

Only ballers can pull this off.
