This may sound incredibly silly but... I was thinking about this on my way home just now... I'm closing in on the 6 month mark on my pair of APCs and I was thinking I should bury them flat under a pile of snow for a night.

Has anyone done this before? Thoughts? Do you think it will 'soak' them?

I don't think it's going to do anything to different then what a cold soak would do. Unless you're in them while they're buried under the snow, try that.

It won't soak them...

Your pants will turn -20C say? And the snow is -20C and it requires at least 0C to actually begin to melt...

In the end you will have frozen jeans.

I was thinking more along the lines of soaking a pair (well in my original thought process it was a piece of material coated in polyurethane or something of that sort, not denim or water) and then leaving it outside to freeze. Different of course as there really is no need for snow, just temperatures below freezing.
