alas, i lost my favorite denim jacket and now i'm trying to fill this void. the classic denim jacket i think of is levis... but look how awful their current slim trucker jackets are: http://www.levisstore.com/product/in...entPage=family I was wondering what all your favorite denim jackets are. Personally i think i'm going to ebay for a nice vintage levis. 15-40% of what would be levis retail value for more or less the same item with an authentic vintage look, which i feel is superior to the fabricated style.

I don't think that jacket is that bad, it just isn't unwashed like everyone likes.

I really like the Marc Jacobs for Wrangler jean jacket, it's a little expensive though.

my favorite is a vintage big yank... but alas, it is now in the claws of a chicken who wanders around nyc pecking at selvage denim. i do really like my vintage levis... nothing special, just nice.

My favorite denim jacket that I own is a vintage Levis trucker jacket from the early 70s. I picked it up at a Goodwill several years ago when I was in college and it was still very dark and retained it's indio color.

I also really like the design of the Nudies jacket except for the loud Nusies logo stitchig across the back between the shoulders.

For a couple months this season, I wore a Gap unwashed darl indigo jacket that resembled the Levis Gen. 2 jacket (pleated front and 2 pockets,) however the denim was absolute shit and despite only minimal gentle wear, somehow a small hole developed in one of the sleeves.

I've got a Levi's Engineered jacket that I really like. Also bought a vintage Levi jacket, don't know if it's Type 1 or 2, the one with just one pocket. Haven't really worn it yet, it's pretty cold right now here in NY.

My favorite at the moment is the 1953 SugarCane Type 2 jacket that I bought yesterday at Self Edge in San Francisco.

Unless you're set on fresh dry fabric, I'd look at some vintage. I've seen some spectacularly aged denim jackets.

I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't know specifically which one I have, when I have over a hundred posts in the other sf.

Thanks GS.
