I noticed people were selling Ipads and such but since there isnt a category for electronics please let me know if posting regarding a laptop is a no no :)

I was given this Dell laptop with Windows installed on it by a friend whom i helped move and long story short he didnt have the disks for windows and I wanted to mess with Linux a little so I stuck Ubuntu on it. Now I am more interested in replacing my desktop computer and getting my home cinema started so I am just selling things i dont need anymore to help fund it haha.

Anyway the specs on it are

Dell XPS 1530(dont know year) which has a 15-15.4" screen
2gb Ram(more then enough for linux)
Intel core 2 duo 1.66 t5450 processor
and I think it was a 160gb hard drive, it said after partitioning there was 144gb free or so and so I think that would make it 160gb.
Ubuntu 12.04

The kicker is that you HAVE to have the power adapter plugged in for it to work, something is wrong where it wont charge the battery so if you unplug it whilst using it it WILL turn off without a second to plug back in. From what my friend said, it needs a new motherboard to charge the battery so if you wanted you could fix it however I dont think its worth the effort.

I checked ebay and saw the XPS m1530s going for $150 for non working models(wouldnt power on) So I think this is a pretty killer deal as far as a cheap linux box goes, or if you wanted to get a copy of Windows to throw on it.

I am away from it right now so I cant take pics but if you are interested and want pics let me know and I will get em ASAP. Either way I will get em up as soon as I get back home to it.
