Degrees in Textiles?

My state college has a textiles program I've been looking into, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm getting myself into by applying there. What I am looking for is a degree that offers classes on textile development and processes.

So, is anyone here going to school for textiles, apparel management or anything of the sort?

I knew someone who has a Textile Engineering degree. Last time I checked, she was looking for work in the fashion industry. I'm not sure if this is a wise idea now since the textile industry is all but dead in America. If you're in Asia, however, that's a whole different ball game.

I'm not sure about undergrad programs, but there is a textile-s like program at Virginia Tech that I know trains PhD/MA/MS in everything from marketing, manufacturing, economics, etc. It all depends there on what your interest is. I had a friend whose PhD was essentially a dissertation on consumer economics. She could have been in my dept easily (in fact, half her committee was).
