Hello,

I am getting married in 3 weeks and I ordered an Ermenegildo Zegna Black Tuxedo directly from Zegna online. After some delays I finally got it today but to my surprise I find something odd on one side of the tuxedo.

I had previously seen the tux directly at a Zegna store and the ones on stock did not have any issued or details like this one. I already had it measured and had it on hold but the day I was going to go pay for it government ordered a lock down so I had to order online.

I got the tuxedo today and I am unsure if I should return it, reorder and risk it not arriving in time or is it something that can be ironed out?

Video here:

Thanks

Perhaps let us know what the differences are that you are concerned about? A list so someone here with black tie experience and knowledge can opine.

Have seen similar on suit jackets - always returned them. Not sure what the cause it.

Just return and buy from Suitsupply, they are always on time and the tuxes are superb

I can’t be sure as my only Zegna jackets have patch pockets so I’m not sure of their construction methods, but it kinda looks to me as if the slight bubbling in a semicircle around the inner edge of the pocket might be caused by some kind of adhesive interfacing that’s been clumsily applied, and the misalignment has caused a bit of puckering. I could be way off, but if that’s the case you might be able to fix it by carefully heating the area with a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive, then trying to smooth it out with your hands or a cold iron. Probably safer than ironing it. Most adhesive interfacing can be melted and reset multiple times without losing its adhesive qualities, so there’s not much risk of damage.

If that doesn’t do the trick then I’d recommend as a long-serving husband that you don’t send it back and hope they can send you a new one in time for the wedding, especially considering the delays caused by the world falling to pieces. Waiting on the doorstep every morning as the big day approaches may cause your wife-to-be’s head to explode :)

Just order a new one and return this one only after you received the new one ...

The jacket doesn't look to be new by the wrinkling along the sleeves. Those types of wrinkles are from wearing the jacket. Or maybe you tried it on enough to make the wrinkles.
Is this from a Zegna line that is fused? Pressing would likely correct this but the question is; would this return again? Geta back up as suggested and return is a good idea.
