Deepening the armholes on suit jacket - easy?

Hi -

Is it easy to tailor the armholes on the suit jacket? Have a jacket that fits me snug around the arms, causing the edges on the chest to puff out, and the collar won't sit completely on the back of my neck. I figure deepening the armholes would fit the problem, but how easy is the operation?? or is it even doable?

thanks

It is difficult to tell from your description. If the arm holes are too small they usually dig into your arm pits.

It sounds more like the problem is that the chest needs to be taken out. If there is some fabric there, it should be possible. Usually RTW makers will provide enough extra fabric to permit that. However, it is much less likely there will be enough fabric to allow the arm scyre to be altered.

As far as the collar goes, it can be altered to fit you better as well.
