Decent inexpensive (as possible) "cap-toe" shoe to wear with suit pants?

I'd like to buy some black "cap-toe" style shoes to wear with a suit I purchased. Unfortunately, I know zero about decent shoes and would ordinarily just buy something at the mall. Perhaps that's OK--but I guess if I can find a good "bang for buck" item here that would be great. I know this may seem incredibly cheap--but I'd *love* to spend under $100 for these if I can--but could be convinced to spend a little more if there's a drastic quality difference. These by definition are going to get worn in my closet a handful of times a year at most. I just don't want to look "cheap" -- these could get worn at a job interview or the like. Any suggestions? In case I'm describing what I'm looking for poorly, I'm looking for something like this: ECCO Austin Cap Toe Tie http://www.zappos.com/product/7270050/color/72 ...but I'd also consider something a bit more 'decortative', such as: Børn 'Spartan' Wing Tip Oxford http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3002462?...:referralID=NA Thanks!

Allen Edmonds Park Avenue should fit the bill.

Both of those are appallingly ugly, and ludicrously overpriced. The first is completely inappropriate with a suit, and the second looks pretty ugly too.

If there is a Johnston and Murphy outlet near you, get the Adler:
http://www.johnstonmurphy.com/product.aspx?pid=22872

I've seen them for ~120. You're going to want something with a leather (not rubber) sole and preferably the laces should meet at a point, like the Adler, instead of in 2 flaps like the ECCOs.

Charles Tyrwhitt sells reasonably styled, cheap shoes. Can't speak to durability or anything else. But they do look like real shoes.

check out yoox, they have some more conservative italian shoes that would look really good with a suit

Check on ebay for Allen Edmonds. You can find them used for around $50.

It's not fabulous, but unbeatable at the price. I have a pair and they are better looking than in the picture. Pretty decent, standard, shoe. Also, goodyear-welted.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Decisions, decisions.

Guess I'm leaning towards the Johnston Murphy suggestion as there is an outlet near me--their price on those is roughly $150 including tax.

The Nunes Coreas are tempting at a +$60 savings (after shipping and Euro conversion they're $87.30) and would pull the trigger but am worried what happens if the fit is off. $60 might be worth the gamble...will think on it a couple more days.

Same with some Maldini's I found at Yoox for $130--could end up shipping them around in the event the fit isn't great--that option might not even practically exist ordering overseas.

Looks like you have to involve eBay to get a deal on AE? Would like to avoid eBay if possible and am not considering preowned for this so I guess I've ruled that out.

Thanks again!

Get 2 pair to cover your sizes, sell what doesn't fit here. I am 100% sure you can get $60 for them.
