Deadlifts with lifting gloves

I want to start incorporating deadlifts into my workout. However, from what I've been reading and watching it seems that everyone says that grip strength is key for deadlifts, and thus lifting gloves are not ideal since it results in a weaker grip. I lift with lifting gloves primarily because I don't want calluses on my hand; I want them pretty smooth in other words.

Would it be advisable to perform deadlifts with lifting gloves? Or should I just stay away from it if due to my unwillingness to have callused, rough hands ?

You sound like the biggest queer in the world. Please do not sully deadlifts by trying them. Stick to bicep curls.

this.

if you're serious, use chalk, it prevents your hands from ripping up. You'll still get callouses but they won't tear. don't use gloves.

1) I have the smoothest baby butt hands in the world. The callouses only affect the part right under your fingers...you will still have soft hands if they are soft to start with.

2) Doesn't matter if the callouses break. I pick them off anyway, absentmindedly. It's kind of fun.

3) Chalk/gloves are fine if you have sweaty hands, otherwise no.

yeah that part right under your fingers where everyone gets callouses anyway unless they've never taken out the rubbish in their lives.

gloves are not fine. sweaty hands + gloves= sweatier hands + torn skin.

chalk is good.

don't use chalk unless you're DLing like 2x BW, come on. Use wraps, gloves, or bare handed. I like my callouses. The top of my hands are smooth and girls dig it, the underside is all manly and shiet.

I agree gloves are for wimps, but nobody on here mentioned how to correct your form so callouses do not form in the first place or at least minimally. Callouses occur when the barbell slides from the middle of you palm, where noobs grip the bar, to your fingers, where for pulling exercises, is the more natural location for the barbell. Minimize callus formation by griping the bar closer to the fingers than the palm and use chalk if your hands are sweaty.

Use a proper grip and you won't tear your hands up. Also, trying to deadlift but qq'ing about your hands getting torn up makes you a dong.

It's like using the withdrawal method while wearing a condom.
