I am looking for examples of DB suits with patch hip pockets and a patch breast pocket. Presumably that means the suitcoat is 4x2 or 4x1.

If you have a photo, illustration or link, please post it here.

Sportcoats will do, but I would prefer suits.

I love it! But the women in my life would kill me. They hate bold fabric

I believe that there is a photo of Harry S. Truman wearing a white or cream colored iteration in Flusser's Dressing the Man.

It doesn´t say on the blog. My guess would be a SC.

Thanks, NOBD. Interesting that they are all 4x1.

    You´re welcome.

Not the most detailed images, but here are a couple patch DBs. Looks like they're both 4x1s. Also the breast pockets are all on quite an angle. [IMG] [IMG]

^^ I find it more interesting that they are all 4 x 2 buttoned on the lower button

The one in the Sartorialist picture looks like a Sciamat as well.

Thanks for the photos. It really gives them a more casual look. I like it!
