How is the quality?

I bought one online on impulse for $20 because it seemed like a good deal, but am not sure if that's what most people actually buy them for.

The listing said it was woven in Italy and made in the USA. I'm not sure what the difference between it being woven and made is.

I don't own any but they seem to be what you'd expect of a basic factory-made tie. From the owner's perspective, the most fundamental thing to look out for from a 'quality' or construction standpoint is simply whether it is easy to tie a nice-looking knot. I am sure there are a number of factors that go into this from a tiemaking standpoint: the material itself, the composition and thickness of the interlining, the shape of the tie where it is knotted, etc. But that shouldn't matter much to you.

Everything else beyond that is your own preference -- how many folds, tipped/untipped, handsewn or not, etc.

"Woven" refers to the fabric being woven/made in Italy. The tie itself was made in the USA.
