Well, I got the: 'I'm not looking for a relationship' talk plus 'I want to be upfront' nonesense. [IMG]

    Jon.

Sorry to hear that but at least you know now. No need to dwell on it. Move on, it's her loss...

Take it like a man. It happens to the best of us, by that I mean me.

Yeah. She was like: 'if you want to go out Sunday let me know'. She goes to school in Miami, I think the distance got to her. Also, she said she didn't want to go back to school ANd have a relationship at the same time, whatever the fuck that means.

That's typical female BS. There is absolutely no reason you can't be in school and be in a relationship. Anyway, you did better than I did in my last thread :p

By that I mean that it took me two fucking months to get a clear understanding of wtf was going through her head. At least this girl had the "courtesy" of making it clear after 2 dates. It's easy to rationalize certain behavior if you really like a chick and everything clicks, especially if she's not outright rejecting you and seems open to advances.

I'm sticking to matt's rule now: 3 dates and they're out, unless they put out. :p

Can you still hook up with he when she's in town? Might as well make the most of it, assuming you're not going to be emotionally involved and pissed about it when she goes back to Miami.

What is all "that" mean? She is bored and she wants to meet a man who can take charge and rock her world. See her once more and rock her world. Look as if 007, but behave like James Dean then she's yours .. [IMG]

I like her though...it might end up being a problem.

Maybe, I mean they say that sometimes to see what you are going to do; will you take charge or back off?

Of course, when a woman says "I'm not looking for a relationship," she really means "I'm not looking for a relationship with you." I got that line a few months ago.

I think you did everything right except that you became emotionally invested too quickly. You weren't dating this woman; you had been on two dates with her.

    So it’s over then, huh?

And I just got miffed cus she wasn’t really giving me the time of day. I mean, if during your date she agrees to go out with you on either Friday or Saturday, but next day she is all the sudden ‘busy’ what would you make of it?

Without knowing more about what exactly went down, I would say yes. If she had said she wasn't ready for a relationship after five dates, I would say there is a possibility that distance was the reason. Getting the boot after two dates generally means the dates didn't go as well as you thought. Sorry. [IMG]

Yeah. I mean, she still wanted to get together on Sunday though, which is what struck me as odd. And she called back attentively. Or she alternatively said lunch on Saturday. I mean she was trying to fit me into her "˜schedule', but at the same time, wouldn't she have tried to move her schedule to be with me?

    Jon,

1st of all, stop calling her and playing ping pong game. Just tell her to see you on Sunday. Look, if she didn't like you, she would not have given you Sunday, OK?

Every girl ask “question” to a guy to test if he is really telling the truth (or to see how much he will sacrifice to get her). I often get asked from girls, “Are you a player?” I am used to this question so I have automatic answer for it.

In your case, I truly believe that she WANTS to have fun with you, but not romance yet (oh, but she does not know that). Girls do not know what they want when it comes to opposite sex. All of idealism on opposite sex that they have in their head is build by sand. Always push and amplify, if you hit her limit, she will let you know. I don’t care if a girl is pretty, ugly, super educated, rich, poor etc, they are all the same if you do the right things. I honestly think that next time you see her (it MUST be just you and her) do something with her that is outside her reality then you will get her. It does not need to be anything special, really.

I really don’t know your persona, so I cannot tell you what to do when you are out with a girl, but here are few things I do when I am out with a girl:

1.\tI touch the girl IMMEDIATELY--arms, hair, shoulders hands etc.
2.\tI speak funny stuffs and playful stuffs. (NEVER GET SERIOUS)
3.\tI don’t ask questions, rather I make statement. i.e) never, “do you like Guns n Roses?”. Instead, “Guns n Roses rock, not because their music .. blah blah”. If its good, she will listen and laugh. This alone is outside her reality because not many guys whom she met talk like this.
4.\tNever dinner or stay at the same venue more than 20min, unless you know the girl WELL.

    Good luck.

It sounds like she has feelings for you, just not romantic feelings, and would like to be friends.

In hindsight, the double date on Friday night was really strange. A double date is appropriate for a first date, or a date when you're in a relationship, but as a third date?
