Would you ever date a girl that couldnt dress herself even if she was really good to you?

Discuss.

Of course. You can help her out along the way and introduce looks that you find attractive. Think of her as a blank canvas ready for your work!

If she dresses badly, just keep her naked.

^FTW.

In any case, I thought it's an i-Gent hallmark that our significant others are less interested in clothes than we are.

Yes.

Unless, of course, she has her own "style" consisting of boots, leggings, giant oversized shirts that make her look perpetually pregnant and some sort of stupid newsboy hat. Even worse if her own "style" is only that of emulating other people. That might be frustrating.

From my personal point of view, you should get an ugly girl to marry you.

I do not think that I would ever want to be with a woman who was not interested in style. My wife is very stylish, and I like that about her.

As long as she was dressed presentably I doubt I would care. If she dressed old school preppy I'd marry her in a second.

Since I have started caring so much about what I wear, I cannot date a girl who doesn't dress well. I can't even find girls who don't dress well attractive anymore...damn styleforum.

Not being able to put together a decent outfit is likely a sign of greater societal angst.

Shouldn't you date someone with similar interests to yours? Style isn't my main focus in life, but it's certainly important enough that I'd want a girl I can talk to about it without getting a perplexed "hnuh?" in response.

Case in point: dating a Fashion student!

If you find that you're mostly looking at her clothes, you're not doing it right.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
