I, for the last two days have been speaking to this certain ´high end´ girl very openly regarding this issue. I voiced my opinion which I stated in the original post, that I was somewhat uncomfortable with constantly going to high end restaurants. I mentioned all of the factors as to why I felt uncomfortable with this i.e. the prices of such places being too high and also odd for people our age and especially as students to dine in. I also, with advice from many of you explained that my habit of paying had contributed to this problem even more so (confessions of a pushover

) I also proposed the idea of heading out to many other splendid hip restaurants scattered around London, which as students we would much enjoy. However, I think I have now gotten slightly accustomed to these high end restaurants thanks to her and as a result I also mentioned that we could ´once in a while´ still pop over to stupendously priced restaurants for special occasions (hopefully sharing the bill

)

Maybe it was my honesty or just my "getting the issue off my chest" stance that made her really appreciate talking openly to her about it. She also agreed with me that we did not need to regularly attend such luxurious restaurants and that she would "love to" go to other places around London (what was she waiting for!) and I think it has finally hit her that as students we really were not fitting the demographics of the general dinners in such places (better late then never!) When the conversation came to the issue of me paying for the bill, she actually admitted that she had also felt uncomfortable with it initially but she was equally fond of it and found it a very masculine gesture apparently!?!?! To sum things up I feel it´s been much better as with all things in life to openly talk and express my views and Yes, I did contemplate the "forgot my wallet at home" option at one point, but i´d rather not!

...Just for the record, I´m not a pushover willing to easily part with his money, although their was a slight pushover-like character that I displayed

I suppose it was her allure that made me just go nod my head to it all

Yes I am sure she felt just wretched when you were taking her to Cipriani and paying. Nothing shows a woman how much of an alpha you are as limply paying her way in return for her presence.

Could the OP tell me where he found this high-end girl because I want one as well. Should I relocate to West London?

Sounds like a nice result. Please post an update in 2-3 months and let us know when the wedding is.

It's hard to really define a "high end" girl nowadays. Many supposed "high end" girls are just credit card debt queens buying themselves into slavery for banks and credit card companies.

In your case, since she comes from a comfortable background, why not try to help her see the other half of life? Instead of the high end restaurants and bars, couldn't you go to a normal pub? Perhaps bangers and mash instead of a prix fixe meal? If she cannot handle normal stuff, there aren't any reasons you should keep her around.

At a Birthday party a friend was throwing some while back. You said it like they are a sub-breed spawning from a certain area

Tbh, London nowadays is very mixed up, so I couldn´t say. But the gold diggers are in any bar or club around Chelsea & Kensington and Mayfair that much I can say.

I suppose I will, i think she´s not shut out to the idea but we shall see. Bangers and Mash with a bit of gravy won´t do no harm I guess
