Dark pin stripe suit for holiday evening wear?

Just curious about wearing a dark (midnight blue) suit with subtle pin stripes for holiday evening wear to classical music concerts and champagne parties. I understand pinstripe suits project more of a business image for boardroom meetings. What's your take on wearing them to evening/night events?

Given the choice of something else, I'd avoid it. I firmly believe in the pinstripes for business rule. But if you must wear a striped suit out in the evening, something with subtle stripes is always going to be better than something with bold stripes. It sounds like your suit fits that description.

I personally tend to shy away from pinstripe suits in the evening. However, I do sometimes wear a very jazzy purple-tramline suit for nights out. So you may not be coming at this from quite the same angle as I do...

Same here, I usually don't wear my business pinstripe suits in the evening. However, I have an Isaia fancy pinstripe in red and gray that I wear for evening social events.
