Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I thought if there's one place to get help from it's this place, so here goes... I am usually quite a sensible and a bit conservative dresser but one day feeling a slightly adventurous after getting my tax return decided to buy one of these:

Now I don't know how to match it. I the dark coloured shirt and the white contrast stripes on the collar just made it a bit too hard for me. I have a pair of charcoal pin stripe trousers which I think looks ok with it, however I really like to wear ties with my shirts (I like how ties add a little bit of detail to uniform front of shirts especially that I like my shirts without pockets. Also ties keep my neck warm). I am thinking of a black matte tie with tiny white dots arranged in diagonal stripe pattern. Any suggestions? I don't want to bin it XD Ta.

Whatever you do, don't choose a white tie or any lighter colour tie. Makes you look like a Mafia gangster wannabe.

Go, instead, with a darker tie in navy with a subtle pattern.

Thanks for the reply... well I think I am in trouble then. I cannot find any shades of blue darker than this shirt's.

Well here's pic with my charcoal tie:

I can't show too much because I can only stretch my arms so far... and I am not wearing any pants.
