I hate you for kopping those from the Barney's sale for, like, 50% off retail Trini... [IMG]

Those would look great with a heavy flannel pant or a Donegal. IMO
I wonder, does one shine those with a black polish, or is there actually a dark green?

I got a pair of those green/suede Barney's boots. I've gotten more compliments for them in the short time I've owned them than any other pair of shoes I own.

They work well with tweed or khaki.

    No belt. No trousers, either.

Is there anything that green shoes would look okay with or would it look odd with most things?

I typically wear mine (the Corthay Vendome in "olive" and Bucy in "bronze verte" in the thread alliswell posted a link to) with olive, taupe, medium to dark brown, or charcoal trousers/suits. However, with the brown suede on the upper part of your boots, I'd say medium to dark brown is definitely the best way to go for yours.

I would rock those boots, especially with some cords.

Those aren't mine - they're the OPs. He had trouble uploading the pics so I did it in my post.

The boots are interesting. I still haven't worn them out but noticed a few things.

In even moderate light including normal indoor lighting, the shoes look brown, which is why I had been confused. It only looks green in bright daylight (or under flash like in the pictures).

They actually look decent when I put denim against it, but it gives off a really strong rustic look.

I guess I'll wear them casually but will stay away from wearing them at work (although I don't think they are any "uglier" than danskos that I sometimes wear).
