Dark Charcoal pants

Can I wear this with a Navy Blazer?
I picked up a pair of Oxxford flannel dark charcoal pants, but the seem real dark, hence my tepid optimisim to wear them....

My preference is to stay away from charcoal (and black) trousers with a navy blazer. I like dark gray (lighter than charcoal)--and lighter shades of gray--but charcoal, in my opinion, gives the ensemble too little contrast and the appearance of a mismatched suit.

It's a classic and very formal combination--one step down from a suit. The lighter the trousers, the less formal the combination of navy blazer and gray trousers.
