For me, I would say DC. I may be biased, since I am a native New Yorker and Hertling (who makes for DC) is based, but they are exceptional trousers. I also prefer their cuts over S&M.

I can say the fabrics are on par though, and S&M tends to be cheaper. Price aside, I believe DC are a slight notch above (purely anecdotal) in overall quality and construction.
