Saw a few interesting jackets and suits from Daniele Alessandrini. Can anyone comment on the make of this brand?

It's typical midrange quality, nothing too great but not bad either. There is also a line called D.A Danielle Alessandrini which is with luxury fabrics and suits have basted sleeves (dont know if they are canvassed though). Their items usually fit very slim!

Resurrecting an old thread. There's a lot of "D.A. Daniele Alessandrini" on Yoox at the moment. Is this stuff canvassed?

Not in my experience. What I've seen though has been good quality for Yoox sale prices.

Just to re-iterate what has already been said about Daniele Alessandrini items fitting slim - I purchased two DA shirts from Yoox a week or two ago - one 'Daniele Alessandrini Homme' size 41 (15 3/4) and one D.A. Daniele Alessandrini generic size 'M'.

I purchased a Prada shirt (and Prada sizes themselves are notoriously small-fitting) size 39 at the same time which fits perfectly, but the DA shirts, supposedly two sizes larger, I can't even close the buttons they are so tight. So... my advice would be to get a couple of sizes higher than usual.

^ Yeah, I've got a 15 3/4 D.A. shirt and it's about the only shirt I own that doesn't need to be taken in by a tailor. Incredible, almost perfect.

Bought a linen/cotton sport coat from D.A Alessandrini on Yoox for a great price ($80). Fits perfectly and I like it better and wear it more often than coats I have that cost 10x more. I don't have the tailoring expertise to evaluate the construction. Would be interested in anyone's else's opinions on this brand.

And yes, I am on thin side (5'10.5", 150 lbs.)
