I just bought a pair of aviator sunglasses from Rayban. Classics...goes with everything from suits to jeans. Love them! Except Rayban decided it would be cool to put their logo in the corner of the lenses

I can't seem to get this thing off. It's really annoying me, because I refuse to wear a pair of lenses with some stupid logo on them. It's bad enough that my eyeglasses have "D&G" on the sides (but that's another story..). Has anyone bought a pair of Raybans lately? How did you remove the logo? I purchased them from Sunglass Hut in the local mall. I've been to two stores and they've both told me that this logo was embossed and can't be removed easily.

I've tried scratching them with my fingernail, rubbing it with the cleaning cloth, heating them up and then rubbing again. Nothing is working. I'm about ready to take a razor to these shades...but I don't wanna scratch my lenses!

I'd love to get that stupid "Ray Ban P" off my lenses, too. Ray Ban in script on the stems? Fine. The barely-visible "RB" etched in to the lenses? Fine, whatever. But the ink on the lenses is awful. And always in white! If I buy sunglasses in brown tortoise, with brown lenses, why not at least do it in gold or silver or something?

^^exactly, my lenses are brown and the frame is like a gunmetal color. The script is in white! It sticks out so much!

i've read about some solution specifically for removing this logo while not damaging the lenses. i'd be willing to try it on my glasses because i want this logo gone too. it really is distracting.

Well why did you buy them? There are a shitload of aviators available on the market that aren't name brands that don't have embossing.....

If I knew you couldn't remove the embossing I wouldn't have purchased them. Plus, I wanted the originals. Who the fock would think that you couldn't remove the logo?

I was going to buy a new pair just the other day. But when I saw that stupid logo I said "No thanks". Very stupid move on their part. Too bad, as I really wanted a pair.

I had a pair about 15 years ago and mine had the Ray-Ban on the lens.

Im gonna try the penny method... Mine are black with a black frame, so the white really stands out. I'll post pics if it kills the glasses...

Please do. Sounds like we have the "cure" here for their stupidity.
