I did a search and found nothing on the topic.

I read in Monocle that the Dalai Lama owns a pair of English made brogues. Does anyone know any more information that that? Tried to do a google search for photos but nothing. He also appears to have a vast wristwatch collection including a Rolex given to him by FDR when the Dalai Lama was only 7.

But I'm really interested in the shoes. He apparently doesn't want to be photo'd in them since they would give the wrong impression. But just curious if anyone has any more info.

They're actually made by a small independent cobbler, not Prada.
