1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I got distracted by the article about missile defence employees being told to stop looking at porn.

The official closing of Daffy's will be a sad day for bargain hunters. Although the phrase was used by Syms, Daffy's was truly the home of the "educated consumer".

Anyone who ever shoped in a major department store would recognize most of the fare at Syms and some of the other stores of it's ilk. However, if you REALLY knew you stuff, you could find AMAZING deals on merchandise that was just not available anywhere else for 3 times the price Daffy's charged. Even if you weren't familiar with the designer, you just needed to know good material and craftmenship to know you were getting great deal.

By way of example, I purchased a David Chu (DC) SC at Daffy's this past week that retailed for hundreds of dollars. Daffy's price.....$69.99!

ps Uniglo is not a substitute for Daffy's....
