Picked up some walnut derbies in what looks to my untrained eye to be buffalo. No indication on the sock liner though.

Also, I was lucky enough to find my second pair of u-wings! They've had half soles put on. They're a 10.5 e and are just a bit too narrow in the toe box for me to be comfortable for a full work day. Should I try to stretch them? If so, any advice?

And some trees! 8m 8w and a mismatched 7w 8w pair.

Those derbys look like antelope to me rather than water bison. Odd that they are not labelled as such. A great bunch of finds, I would put the U-wings on the rack. Get some of that stretching fluid and give them hell.

I also picked up a pair of very dark brown Dacks water bison derbys this week. They are so dark that I had to use the flash, otherwise they almost look black. I think they are from the late 80's. 8.5D.

I picked up a lovely pair of Hartt's 4 eye bluchers today, dating to between 1958 and 1968. They likely date earlier in this range, as they still have the Hartt liner tag and are stamped Hartt Custom Grade on the sole. Both of these traits were discontinued sometime before 1968. This pair, which are 8E, were built on the famed 65 "Brentwood" last, which has a lovely almond shaped toe. I have included an as found picture. With my 20% discount they set me back $12.

One of my oldest pairs, courtesy of @Jiqea . McHale u-wings that date from 40s or 50s.

Had some time to burn while running chores last night so popped into a local thrift store and headed straight for the shoe racks. Was greeted by this pair of Hartt Prairie Oxehide loafers (9.5) in pretty good shape. These are as found; haven't cleaned them up yet.

I missed out on a very cool pair of mid-1950's Dack's "Clydes" that were briefly listed on Kijiji this week. I owned the 1960's version of this shoe a couple of years ago. I would have loved to get this pair but it was not to be. The advert is from 1955.

Curious I haven't seen this thread yet.

Sharing a few pieces I've found. You'll see I have a soft spot for Military & Police footwear.
