I'm new here, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. Anyway, I'm looking at buying a sweater from the F/W 06-07 D&G runway collection, and I'm not sure about sizing. My chest measures exactly 40 inches, and I don't know what size would fit me best. (I would buy it online, so I can't try it on.) The sweater is sized in inches, not S M L.

Do I need a 40? Or does it need to be bigger? If so, how much bigger? I want it to fit approximately like it does on the model from the show.

Thanks for your help.

I find Italian brands notoriously inconsistent when it comes to sizing. Most of the time they are on small side, esp. if it is diffusion/Ittierre stuff from Versace or D&G. I would go one size bigger, which would suit this particular sweater IMO.

Dolce and Gabbana run tight. What I'm saying is, even if it's your size, you might look pretty stupid in it.
