I'm considering adding this brand to our selections, do any forum members have any opinions.
Isn't this the firm that makes faucets and doorknobs? From that part of the Sheffield iron-mongering/working area of England? Have they actually branched out into fragrances???
Neroli is a personal fave. I really liked 'em when they used to be sold at N-M. I'd place an order, GD ...
Hi Drink, A good resource with many C&S fragrance reviews is www.makeupalley.com. Go to the Product review catagory and select the brand you want reviews for and there they are. There is a fragrance forum where you can get a lot of help too. Link directly to the Czech and Speake reviews: http://www.makeupalley.com/product....GO.y=12 j
Yes I know this belongs in Body Consciousness. I'll move it there in a bit.
I have placed an online order from their website, but they want $70 for shipping.
Is this normal?
Would anyone be willing to but it for me and ship it?
Obviously I'd Pay Pal ahead of time.
And if Gary or anyone in the states has Neroli I'd gladly purchase it if it's a better value.
I've tried Royall Mandarin and it's OK, just not quite as good, and you can't get it in a spray.
I wear the No. 88 froim Czech and Speake exclusively...It's fairly tough to find in the States, there is a retailer, Cambridge Chemists in NYC that I have ordered from in the past...I really like the scent, it's distinct--not overpowering...The only source in LA is Maxfield's, so you would be in pretty good company...I would say it's a good choice to stock, the packaging is cool as well.
Thanks. Cambridge has it online w/out the shipping costs...
C&S No.88 is a classic scent. Cuba and Neroli are excellent as well. Cambridge Chemist stocked them. They are niche. Don't think everyone will like them. Those who do, love them for life.
I'll have to try no. 88 and Cuba...
I thought Frankincense and Mrryh (sp?) was pretty good too...
+1 Forgot about F&M. No.88 is a masculine rose. It will take some time to get use to it.
I gave up on Czech & Speake when after a number of phone calls to get a response that they were not opening any more US stockist. I'm a big fan of the line and love 88, Neroli and Cuba. Hopefully, they'll come around and open us.
We are now selling Acca Kappa, a little known Italian manufacturer, still family owned since 1869. We have the exclusive in New England and stock the Cedar Collection. It is a wonderful fragrance which we are happy to have.
I misspoke. Obviousle they do have shipping costs, but they are $55 less than from the uK.
