I'm late to the party here but I take it you work at White's?
You might say that... @sambam's alter ego is Eric Kinney... we are blessed by his presence.

From White's website:

"Upon Gary's retirement, his step-son, Eric Kinney, trained under interim president Steve Scheller before taking the president's chair himself. Kinney brings the accumulated knowledge of an entire career at White's to the presidency - he spent 26 years as a master bootmaker and eventually as factory foreman before serving in the front office."

Online? Do you have a link? I'm just seeing the plain toe for each version right now.

Main Streets are to a small extent customisable. When I ordered mine I just used a bakers template and found certain things like edge & leather were customisable, and certain things like the sole and dropping the speed hooks were not. Only thing I'd say is that the sole thread is customisable in brown or black and I'm not sure if that is true on any other boot style.

So just drop them an email.

Does White's use a clear edging on their natural edges? The brown edge dressing I've put on isn't sticking. Really annoying as I requested this done by the factory.

I couldn't live without the fiebing resolene. (Ty legaleagles) I ive used the brown and black to great success. They do have a neutral as well. Anyone ever use the neutral on natural edges?

This would break me. As an Australian paying international shipping if that happened to me (and White's weren't happy paying shipping back and forth) I would, like, totally overreact. In fact, I am freaking out about future orders just because it happened to you.

No, but the natural edges on my Bounty Hunters are getting kind of beat up and dry, so I'm gonna order some with my next Amazon order. I'm going to lightly sand and polish the edges before applying to see if I can get them looking nice. Might be a bit down the road but I'll post pictures.

Now that's some detective work. I am happy to be on the forum with the faithful White's guys. A lot of knowledge is spread here and I know it helps the new guys out. Plus I get good feedback for better or worse. Thanks to everyone for the continued business, Eric

Well... you did kind of out yourself in post #8,843... but I want to say again how much we appreciate you taking this time to post here and to be patient with us. I know intimately the challenges vis a vis workforce, energy, raw materials, healthcare etc. that American manufacturing faces... I am sincerely grateful you have any time to post on our humble thread.

A.) Have you even followed up with them and asked them about fixing it?
B.) Are you sanding before you apply your edge dressing?
C.) Edge dressing by its nature does not last long unless your shoes get very little wear. You may be blowing through it vs it not sticking. My Vibergs natural dressing was gone after like 5 wear.

Don't be. Worrying is like a rocking chair: gives you something to do, but doesn't get you very far. One time does not make a pattern. By contrast, each boots I have received has been perfect in both specification and craftsmanship.

Just another note for people trying to size over the Internet. I went in to the Danner factory store in Portland yesterday to get sized for whites. They took measurements and foot tracings and compared them to their sizing guide from Whites and said you’re likely a 9D or 9E in a semi dress but maybe an 8.5. 9E was too arrow, pressure on the little toe, length felt fine. Went up to a 9.5D, felt great. They also suggested trying a 9EE and were going to see if they could bring one into the shop for me to try on. Great customer service, but unfortunately an important reminder that tracings and measurements aren’t a great substitute for trying boots on. Brannock was 9.5, fwiw.

A big +1 on this...

A. No ****. Didn't want to have to wait a few weeks just for edge dressing.
B. Wiped down before hand because I assumed nothing was used as a clear coating.

Anyone know what color these are? Look too Red to be Brown CXL and too Brown to be Burgundy CXL.
