Anybody want some jewelry for their White’s?:

It's hard enough explaining to my partner that I spent $500 on a pair of firefighter boots.

Just snagged a pair of cap toe MP boots in #8 leather from the White's store off of eBay for (what I think) was a great deal. Have a few pair of RWs (Iron Ranger, 875, 4563) and am really looking forward to the step up in quality to White's. Now, the agonizing wait begins!

Well, they showed up yesterday ... and unfortunately my sizing was wrong. I went 1-1.5 down from my Brannock size, the same size as my Iron Rangers and the White's were both too long and too wide in a D width. I'm honestly not even sure that going down another .5 size would be enough, though a C width should work. Luckily they were returnable and are on their way back now. Absolutely beautiful boots, though. The step up in quality from Redwing is definitely noticeable, I was very impressed. The journey continues ... I guess it's time to send tracings to White's to make sure with the next pair.

Hathorn Electrical Hazards that were rebuilt. I get more compliments on these than all my other boots put together. Looks very saddle shoe-ish, in a masculine sort of way.

Getting a pair of rebuilt SD's back Friday. Were black CXL with single leather sole, Vamps and backstay will now be Burgundy CXL and a Western Comp sole. Went up a half size and two widths
