A contributor asked me by DM if I could post some pics of my burgundy HH SD. I thought others might be interested as well. I have worn them a few times, and started to build a shine... they need a bit to really get broken in, but are coming along nicely.

These are in natural light so you can see the shade more accurately... just wonderful boots... thanks to Kyle for making this happen!

Man, those boots are so nice. The 38 Swing last looks really nice in your size and width. It doesn't even look like you get the toe spring I get on mine. I'm so jealous. Thanks for posting, dude.

Two types of leather, different colors. Carried over the term "two tone" from 1911-speak, should have been more specific or correct.

Two tongues?
If you are talking about the kilties, I ordered a full thickness HH tongue for durability, but they were so beautiful upon arrival that I could not bear to corrugate them with laces... so I dug out a pair of red dog false tongues, trimmed off the bottom, applied burgundy polish and laced them into the boots... they turned out to be a pretty good match...

Those look fantastic @Legal Eagles whats your polishing routine for the toe caps?
Every week I add 2-3 layers of Saphir polish using a soft t-shirt for a rag, and a couple drops of water. This way the wax layer has a week to harden between applications... in 5 years or so it will really get to looking sharp!

Basically this:

Hey LE, what is your White's collection looking like?
I try not to post too much about it, as I do not want people to think I am bragging or showing off... and many people I am sure have more PNW boots than do I, but since you asked my humble collection looks like this:

Burgundy HH SD 38 Swing - Medallion Cap Toe - Commando Sole
Black HH SD 38 Swing - Medallion Cap Toe - Triple Commando Sole
Brown HH SD 55 Last - Medallion Cap Toe - Double Leather Sole
Black Dress SD 55 Last - Cap Toe - 430 Sole
Brown Dress SD 55 Last - Medallion Cap Toe - Double Leather Sole
Classic Brown SD 55 Last - Cap Toe - Commando Sole
Brown Dress SD 38 Swing - Cap Toe - Single Leather Sole (modified)
Black Elk Tan BH - Medallion Cap Toe - Double Leather Sole
Brown Bison SD - Medallion Cap Toe - Out for resole

While White's is my first love, I do also have a dabbling of Nick's and Wesco... mostly oxfords, and jobmasters, and Alden Indy's for more formal occasions (although the Indy's are labeled "Work Boot" they are nothing like White's)

Hi, my name is Legal Eagles, and I am an addict...

That’s a great collection LE. How do you like Whites leather soles? Hold up well, comfortable?

Here is my take on leather soles... I stand by it... long story short, they are awesome, but we have winter where I live, so compromises must be made...

This makes me feel a lot better about my humble 4 pairs of SDs (technically two pairs, as I'm waiting on two to come in).

Isn't classic brown technically British tan btw? I could have swore I read that on here. Also, can you tell me more about your choice in medallion over regular cap toe? I've been debating getting a medallion toe on my next pair but I got back and forth about it.

I believe you are correct about Classic Brown and British Tan... I ordered Classic Brown and from every indication the boots are made with the same leather White's calls British Tan... they are one of two unlined pairs which I wear when it is hot (in Maine that is about 3 days of the year).

As far as cap toes, that is just a personal preference. I like the cap toe to break up the length of the boots and to provide extra protection and stricture to the toe, and I work in an office so the medallion cap toe is just a little bit more formal and I think the longer White's cap toe adds visual interest to the boot... again, just aesthetics and personal preference.

I can't stop staring at those burgundy hh boots. Mostly, I can't get over how different the 38 Swing Last looks on them. Damn my EEE width feet. They look like elegant combat boots in a standard D width.
