No way the guys a genius! I chose them actually, was playing it safe for some more conservative buyers when I initially ordered. Prefer them myself, like the Cuban on a smaller heel but not the standard so much. Next stocks will be of the more varied kind!

    Each to their own captain.

The standard cuban non lowered looks best IMHO. The way it was intended to be.

The Alden Indy is on the Tru-Balance last. Have you had experience wearing Red Wing on which I can actually go 9D, because there is enough room in toe box. I could also wear 8.5 but E width only. RW are massively oversized though. I spoke with Kyle by phone and as per his advice I will mail the actual scan. Just talking to him I told him I take size 9D in Red Wing Moc Toe and 9E in Alden Indy due to the narrow toe box. He said he was the same size in all three of those shoes.

I apologize if this has been beaten to death, but where in this thread (ie page number) may I be able to find pros and cons of getting a double mid sole + standard height heel?

    Thanks,

pro's and con's dont really apply. Its more of a personal preference. Double midsole is raging in Japan, but its not necessarily better. It just creates a stiffer, more solid (less flexible) midsole. Same with the heel height. If you lower the heel, the arch seems a bit less intense, or so I have heard. It does throw off the boot balance a bit in my opinion. When I look at mine from the profile, the shaft seems to tilt back a small amount because the heel is lowered. I will be doing a normal heel next resole.

Jamie, is this boot on a single or double leather sole? It says double midsole...does that mean no sole? What's the difference between a boot with a double midsole and one with a single midsole + single leather sole?

    Hi,

It's a double leather sole only, I should change that. A double mid sole is the same but with a vibram/ rubber sole aswell, single mid is single leather with vibram/ rubber sole. Hope that all makes sense.

    Cheers.

    Jamie.
