6" Smoke jumper, lace to toe, semi lug sole?
Just got these in today!
Hi.everyone ..my first post here.
Just want to ask personal point of view from whites boot expert here.
1.How is single, double celastic.or steel toe will turn on bounty hunter . (some comparison pic will be nice).
2.How far is lace to toe style does bakers can go...(can it be custom like wesco jobs master lace to toe) =more to the tip of toe area.
Many thanks in advance.
Great! SJ? Height, and a few more details please!
Could anyone let me know what the midsole thickness influences - I mean, would a double midsole with a double leather sole cancel each other out?
Can one get a double front part of the sole with a half sole vibram, or does the double leather have to go through the whole boot?
Those are nice bro!
I'm not sure what you're asking... A double midsole will be the entire length of the boot. I don't think there are double leather soles as an option?
If you get the half soles like the vibram or commando there's part that's leather on top of the midsole and then the rubber on top of that.
You can also get a half midsole that's just from the heel to the arch called a half-slip. They use that to get a little heel lift on top of one of those cristy wedge soles.
Hope that helps
Got an amazing deal on these...

Planning on either SJ or SD on semi-dress last. As far as size is considered. I have a size 9D Alden INDY, but I have a slightly above average width about E, so I think I should have sized up on it since it is just a tad bit tight in toe box. I also wear Size 9D in the Classic Red Wing Moc Toe Boot width isn't a problem since there is lots of room in the toe box. Further reference sizes:
10 in Nike runners
42 in CP
9.5 in Clarks
I am thinking 9E would be good. Your further input would be appreciated.
If CP stands for Common Projects and you are a 42 then a 8.5 or 9e will be a goo fit.
Trace and measure your feet as detailed on Baker's site and send it to them. Kyle at Baker's can tell you your size better than we can.
^Send it as in mail? I scanned it sent it via email, he suggested 9E, but didn't seem too sure.
Hey guys, I've never bought a pair of White's and am looking into the configuration I want. After reading this thread, I believe the photo below (not my boot, just found it in the thread) is the standard semi dress make up, which is actually very close to what I'd like.
Can anyone confirm that the boot above is the following make up and provide some insight on the aspects of which I'm unsure?
White's Semi Dress Boot
-Upper: classic semi dress brown leather
-Eyelets: antique eyelets and hooks
-Sole: double or single leather?
-Welt/Sole Trim: standard double
-Edge trim: brown
-Toe: I'm guessing one can't tell if it's single celastic from a photo?
I'm trying to warm up to the standard sole trim (double welt) because I feel like it's keeping more with the classic White's boot but am considering going with a close sole trim instead. Has anyone been initially averse to the double welt and learned to like it?
Also, I love the look of the leather sole but am concerned about comfort. I'll be walking exclusively on concrete in these...can anyone attest to just how much more comfortable some of the lower-profile vibram soles are? With regard to leather soles, is a double significantly more comfortable than a single leather sole once broken in?
^ can you post a side pic of the 2nd pair? i'd like to see the double midsole.
single leather sole, NO leather lining
