^ Looks like two classic builds. I am sure you'll be happy with them. Once they actually arrive..!

I hope the brown rough out looks good with the brown bison. It's a $450 gamble!! But that's half the fun :)

Just received my new semi dress so threw them on while at the office wearing my olive slacks. I'm digging them.

Please keep us posted on how those wear! I think I'm among quite a few who really want to see how the soft cap toe ages.

I will try to post aging photos, break in, wear and tear thoughts along the way. Took me a good long while to come to grips with "mail ordering" boots this expensive. But Baker's totally took care of me and "held my hand" to get me to bite the bullet and go for it. Size is basically right on compared to the trial boots they sent me. Just a little pressure on my right pinkie toe, which existed in the second trial pair they sent out.

What kills me is that these are 8.5 E. Normally I wear a 9.5 dress shoe, or often times a 10 due to the high/large instep, just to be remotely comfortable. But I can see that there is a TON of room beyond my toes and just figured those where the cards my feet were dealt so I'd just always wear shoes and boot too large so they would be comfortable.

I need to remember to go get me another pair of shoe trees...

Thanks b-ewing. I was inspired by some photos of a similar setup from I believe [email protected] if I'm not mistaken. While I initially wanted a more traditional brown, I have a some nice brown shoes, and some nice black Red Wing Oxfords, so decided to expand the color pallet.

Here is what could be my next build. A pair of Bounty Hunters.

    Item No: 2332CB
    Leather Liner: No Thanks
    Size - Length: 9.5
    Height: 7"
    Toe Cap: Medallion Toe Cap
    Celastic Toe Box: Single
    Toe Vamp Leather: Brown Dress
    Last: Semi Dress (Bounty Hunter)
    Hardware: Antique Eyes & Hooks
    Heel Base: Standard
    Steel Toe: No Thanks
    Size - Width: C
    Heel Lifts: Standard
Toe Cap Leather Color: Brown Dress
    Top: Cut Top (standard)
    Midsole: Single
    Lace Design: Plain Toe
    Edge: Black
    Counter Leather: Brown Dress
    Upper (Shaft) Leather: Brown Dress
    Pull Loops: No Thanks
Sole: Commando Mini Lug Half Sole

I already have the SDs in black and brown HH with toe caps. This new pair would be my winter boot.

Still deciding on if I should go with Brown Dress or Brown Oil. And also if I should go plain toe instead as my other boots have toe caps.. I gave up the idea of Brown Chromexcel with Brown Dress toe cap and heel counter as Kyle said that the colors could clash as they are very close.

Opinions are like you-know-what, but I'd go for a 6", brown dress, standard toe. The 7" is just a little too tall for me on BHs for some reason, brown dress is the shit, and since you already have a mob of toe caps go for one sans toe cap :D ;)

mystlawer-- Those are absolutely stunning. Soft to with toe cap too! Please post more pictures as the toe flattens out.[IMG]

mogili222-- If you have HH toe-cap dress boots already than it would be good to complement with tougher plain toe boots IMO. Brown oil would be much more rugged and warmer. Just my $.02

Thank you b-ewing and 4c.... Quick question.. How different are the Brown Oil and the Dress Brown leathers in terms of thickness and weight and will a liner be overkill for these leathers?
