Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

I think that U shape is due to the lowered heel. I could be wrong, but look at the photo comparison earlier in the thread.

ok, I see now. Don't think that has anything to do with the lowered heel, just the way they are. My double leather soled SDs have the same shape to them. Good looking boots, not a huge fan of the lowered heel myself, but it really doesn't look too bad there. Love the 1/2 commando sole, that is nice!

im used to flat shoes and wear as minimal as i can usually, had to try to stay with a lower heel

yeah, White's w/ standard heels have some serious arches going on...takes some getting used to so I can see where the lowered heel could be a good option if you like a flatter feeling boot.

^White's makes the best leather laces I've ever felt, that is a nice option. I don't mind the stock Semi-Dress laces myself however, that is what I use on mine still.

The nylon laces would`ve been nicer if waxed.

The brown laces make my black boots feel brown.

Knucks did you order those through white's? Not sure if whites will call when they get my order to get info on what extra's I want. On the order form there was no where to put a toe cap as an option. Anyone order though whites?

give them a call and specify what other options you want like single row stitch/close trim, etc. and do it before they cut the leather or it would`ve been too late.

Knucks I like them I also order through bakers. Mine get here Monday I got the single leather sole with commando and lowered heel wish I went double midsole now. Maybe my next pair in a few months I will. What color is the closets to Alden Roy boot? Brown chromexcel?

I ordered some custom white`s off baker`s for my brother for xmas that just arrived last week. Turned out he already placed an order that same month I placed it through White`s directly
I also have an order arriving for myself off Baker`s. Dunno what to do with the extra pair, I am away from home atm and he`s not sure whether Baker`s accept returns on custom sd`s
