Yes, White's can convert that for you, and so could any good cobbler I would guess (though probably wouldn't look quite as nice as if White's did it....just guessing).
I have both (heel choices from Whites) and don't notice a difference with normal walking. Maybe hiking on certain terrain one would notice, I haven't though.
Within the first week of wearing my new Semi Dress boots (w/block heels) I got a little more than I bargained for. I had to hike along a rough dirt road for over a mile then climbed up a 30' embankment made of hard dirt, down the other side (steep) for another 45'. Then through a hundred yards of swamp like terrain with boots getting submerged in mud/water. Then back again. All while carrying a camera bag with gear on one shoulder and a camera on the other. Talk about an acid test right away.
It all turned out great. Feet stayed dry and made it back in one piece. Of course I gave them a good cleaning when I got back and they looked just like new (except for a couple of character scrapes). I'm a believer.

What are the differences between the vibram soles? Which one provides the most comfort?
These are the three options (not counting the 100 which is the big ugly one.) The picture doesn't change on build a boot. Do they look the same?
No...don't search Google or anything.
Here, I got you 1/3
Got shipping confirmation

knucks how did you size?
konadog: beautiful shoes man, I`m sure it`ll sell quick
was told to go same size as my red wings work boots, and in general half a size down from regular sneakers/shoes. went with a 9EE so hope it all works out. 4 more days.
how did you measure on the brannock though?
I don't know. I've measured my foot by tracing it before and it's come out to about 10.5" which translates to a 9.5US
I am new to the forum. I think I have read every post about White's boots I could find. I am looking for some input on the boots I would like to order. I would like a pair of Smokejumpers with the standard oiled leather but with a double midsole and the Vibram 100 outsole. Can anyone out there tell me what the break-in time for the double midsole was like, and how do they wear overall. Also wondering about using a single Celastic Toe box. Does the standard 8oz leather need the Toe Box? Love the look of White's, plus I tear up my boots. I need a pair that can take the abuse. Thanks for any advice.
