For those interested although there's a 4-5 month wait time.

That feel when I'm still waiting on my September order ?

First pair of White's and first experience with Bakers. The heavy duty work boots are of no use to me where I am so went for a pair of Stevens with medallion cap toe on 5050 last, size 12.5EE, in Burgundy Horsehide.
Ordered 22nd June, delivered to Singapore today, 16 Nov, just under 5 months.

Fit seems good, went with Kyle's suggestion based on the sizes I wear in other brands. The arch support in this something I have never experienced before. Hope to break these in over the next month or two. Overall QC is good, a few threads here and there which can be singed off.

Sorry for too many pics ?

It's a little tough to convince my wife of my sanity when I'm all, "ohhh I need some in Latigo, Burgundy HH, Natural HH..."

Her- "what's the story on that last pair you returned"

" ummm, you know how they just had to fix the heel height, well, they have to be completely rebuilt. But, don't worry they are on a rush."

Her-"so they should be here next week"

"ummm, well llike 6 weeks from today (11/15/21)

--"Good luck with your order"

Warning @wordfool and my remakes will be in the building at the same time, who knows what could happen.... Hopefully the negative energies will cancel each other out???

I dream of a perfect pair of boots crafted by a small army of skilled boot-making elves and delivered by the end of the year.

I'm expecting a slightly less satisfying outcome.

Was really amazed at the last difference between the 55 Hathorn Insulated Hunters and the 690 Insulated Packers - the height delta, even ignoring the single/double midsole element.

Had I only discovered the 690 years ago ...

Cheers,
Do you prefer 690 over Bounty Hunters/smokejumpers?
What differences have you noticed so far?
Thanks

After only a month of break in, can definitely say the 690 has a more stable, solid feeling, more natural. Still more miles to go with the work leathers, but can say I really like this last. There's also more toe width than the 4811 (Smoke Jumper) which is a pleasant benefit.

The 55 last (Bounty Hunter) now feels more like a loafer, easy going, casual and low key - just with some support. Can really tell the 55 is the lowest support last in my lineup.

The 4811 was my go-to last choice, and represents overwhelming majority of my boots, but it is definitely in second place going forward.

Really would like a black dress to round the leather options in these Packers. The dress leathers are so much easier to break in and my 6" brown dress Farm Ranchers are such comfortable slippers ...

Cheers,

Cheers,

If you think the 55 last has the least support that makes me never want to try those other 2 lasts lol. The 55 last has a ton of arch support in my opinion, I've had my bounty hunters for maybe 8 months now (from last Black Friday sale) and they still feel like standing on the edge of a ladder.
