I know we have W&C veg tan leather but it must be tough to make a dress leather (like brown dress) in tan/natural colors.
I have a pair of AE boots in cognac color, no comparison to White's but "lower grade" boot makers can apparently get light color leathers.

I just have to wonder if there is a real demand for those specific shades of brown/tan. I happen to like them myself even if they're not as versatile as darker browns. Whites I'm sure could source from Annonay, Du Puy, Badalassi (would be fantastic) for those sorts of colors, but not sure if theres enough interest to stock it.

Like everyone says brown dress is underrated!
Since elk-tan is the thicker version of brown dress, will brown elk-tan develop similar patina?

Cleaned up my shells since we're officially no longer in boot season here. Put a lot of enjoyable miles on these over the last 8 months

Although I disagree with the statement about boot season but they are perfect.
Bounty Hunters in #8 shell?
Do you feel any difference in comfort between celastic toes and soft toes?

Super close - semi dress in #8. I do feel that the soft toes are a little tighter (could also be the leather choice), but otherwise, nothing worth pointing out honestly, almost purely aesthetic
The stitching, welt, leather pretty much everything is immaculate!
you have great taste in boots.

@PACostag - killer pair. What’s your maintenance routine for Shell? I’m having a tough time with it.
It's actually surprisingly low maintenance - something I have recently found out after really starting to wear them. Every 5 wears or so, give them a quick brush to remove dust, then I just wipe them down with a damp cloth, then brush immediately again before the moist coating (gross phrase, sorry) can dry. This does the most good for them and really gets them looking their best. Then every 15 or so wears, I'll hit them with a little VSC, then brush.

He is right (unsurprisingly)... less is more when it comes to boot care...

what do you for your Shell boots?
I don't have any shell boots, but for my shoes I use this... sparingly... mostly keep them clean, brush them with a horsehide brush, let them rest for at least two days between wearing, and keep shoe trees in them...
