This briefcase is made of a beautiful brown elephant hide leather. This would appear to be a custom made bag, given the simple details and lack of any brand/company name/hallmark. The bag measures 17' wide and 13" tall, if there are any specific measurements or pictures you would like please let me know and I would be happy to accomodate. Given the age (explained below) there is some minor wear on the bag in the normal areas which I have tried to highlight in pictures. There a small buckle on the bottom which, perhaps, held some kind of strap that originally went around its entirety, but that would appear to be missing. What is pictured is all I have.

I purchased this bag at a local auction ran by a company that deals in the import of antiques as well as other home decor, etc. Inside I found a handwritten receipt written in German dated in 1985, so that is as much as I know regarding the provenance.

Asking 250 USD shipped CONUS. I would be happy to ship internationally, but would prefer to get an individual quote for anyone interested.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. If anyone would be interested I do have some elephant hide scraps in a lighter tan color. I received a second bag at this same auction in the same style, but it was in poor condition so I harvested some of the nicer portions of it for a later date (might try to make some watch bands, card holder, something)

Thanks
Alex
