After being called to the Bar this spring, I felt it was time to treat myself to a proper briefcase. I researched what I wanted for a couple months and, after reading some glowing reviews on SF, finally settled on a case from forum favourite Joseph P. Marcellino Co. Joe just sent me some pictures of the finished product, and I couldn't be happier. Here are the specifications of the briefcase:
  • Habermas 2063 base model;
  • London Tan English bridle leather;
  • brushed brass key lock with suede lined holder and outlined stitching;
  • finished, burnished black edges;
  • bottom cross-stitched handle;
  • neutral stitching;
  • no buckle straps; and
  • no shoulder strap or D-rings.

My bag was the first to be made by Joe with this specific type of lock. The handmade lock is made entirely from solid brass and was installed by hand using real rivets. I also chose to go without the traditional buckle straps, so that I could quickly open the bag in meetings. Joe was extremely helpful throughout the design process, and always kept me up-to-date. I am pretty amazed how the bag turned out. I will post additional pics in a few days - I hope everyone likes it.
