I note that my friends in Kowloon are wrapping up a five-cities U.S. tour, and I am sure some of you must have seen them. It's been a year since my last appointment with them, and I was wondering what their prices are like a year later. Does anyone know what they are charging for a 2-piece from VBC 110, which is more or less their baseline, entry-level suiting fabric? How about VBC 140 or Harrison's Frontier, Oyster or Flannel collections--just to name some I'm familiar with? What about a jacket from P&H Thornproof?

I saw them when they were in Beverly Hills on 7/31. I'm not sure about the fabrics you mentioned but their Loro Piana 170's were $3,200 for a two piece suit and Loro Piana 190's were $4,200. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. However, with Super 170s and 190s, that's obviously top-end material--alas, of little interest to a stereotypical "fixed-income senior citizen" like me.

I had the pleasure of meeting Patrick Chu during his visit to Europe earlier this year. I ordered a two-piece suit made from a Holland & Sherry Super 120 fabric. Price was around US$2400. Unfortunately I cannot help you with your question regarding the VBC fabric.

I note that Patrick Chu made a short U.S. tour recently and is touring to other U.S. cities this month. I'd just like to restate my original question and see how high their prices have risen. It has been almost two years since I ordered anything from them.

I was in HK last March and ordered a suit from them and VBC was in the $1300 range

I had one suit of VBC110 8 year ago, pretty good and still strong. However, the latest version of VBC 110 is very weak and no good at all. Better avoid and go to VBC 140.

From a recent email:

For your information, our starting price is about US$1,660 for a 2pcs suit made with the VBC 140's wool fabric. All prices are subject to change without further notification. Products charges would adhere to the latest pricing.

Wow! That's up $300 from a VBC 140 suit I got from them less than three years ago.
