Does anyone own a recent suit (within the last year) made by BB Golden Fleece? I notice the online descriptions say "hand tailored in the USA" but if the quality is anything like the Southwick Fitzgerald suit I received a few months ago, I will pass.

I think they are made by Martin Greenfield, quality is definitely better than Fitz suits, GF suits are full canvass although fit is not great, at least for me.

On a sort of unrelated note, does anyone have experience or knowlegde about the tailoring services/costs at BB? Just basic stuff - finishing the hems on the jacket and pants, and taking in the jacket slightly.

Basic hems and trouser waist alterations should be free IIRC

I may be wrong, but I believe they do sleeves and pant waist and hems, and charge extra for anything in the jacket body.

Don't know about recent suits, but be forewarned I recently purchased a pair of Golden Fleece trousers "Made in China".

I thought the Dec 09 line was not as a good as past years in quality of the work. I did think though that US made cashmere overcoats were much better than past ones.
