the situations Larry got into in previous season were less forced than the current one. This seasons it's like Larry is deliberately trying to get labeled the asshole where in the past it was all accidental and unfortunate sequence of events that got Larry labeled the asshole, which made it funnier.

Last nights episode definitely was as you describe here. Panicking with the swan and the situation with the stonemason. Pretty funny.

Season started strong, got bad really fast, but it's ending strong. This recent episode was classic in every way
