You should have added a "more than cuffthis" category.

I guess more than 40 is enough as nobody but him will have more than 40 on this board.

I have 9 pair, and only 2 that are really any good. A pair of sterling silver knots from Tiffany (a groomsman gift) and the pair I wore for my wedding, which came from my grandfather. They are toggle backed and probably not made from anything valuable but the sentimental value makes them worth more than any of the rest. My grandfather forgot that he had even given them to me and he was touched that I was wearing them that day.

I wore my maternal grandfathers links at my wedding as well. Nothing special in the links themselves, but it was a nice way to remember him, as he died when I was young. I think my mother appreciated it as well.

I only own three pairs, not counting silk knots. I could use others, but good ones can be awfully expensive, and my standard pair serves me fine. I'd rather spend the money on other, more noticeable parts of the wardrobe, right now.

And I wouldn't be surprised if a few people on here have more than 40 pairs.

And this way you don't need a spreadsheet for cufflinks. [IMG]

I also have two spreadsheets for shirts I own and one for shirts I plan on buying, another page for suits in my mind and one for shoes and shining.
I am sure my avatar is some sort of nerd (for one thing he must have a PhD).

Ahhh....don't get all worked up over it. It's just Ernest being Ernest. I knew I would get some sort of response like that when I posted.

Most of these are ebay purchases, and most are vintage. This is picture I took a few months back of what I had then: [IMG] The sterling knots are Jos. A Bank from ebay, the Tiffany barbells are sterling and given to me by my wife for our anniversary. The second set of barbells are sterling Brooks Brothers from ebay. The others are vintage. [IMG] The two on the right in the second picture are 14k white gold front Belais. The top center snap links have a blue X pattern over mother of pearl. The lower left are a robin egg blue celluloid. And after reading ernest now I know what that metal smell was... Â [IMG]
