Yes I think the prices are high.  I liked the stirrup style cufflinks without the gems.  I normally stick with the traditional cufflinks as I find many cufflinks especially themes to be too cute or silly for my taste.  

I can't help but I am sure some forum members could probably give you names of artists that could reproduce the cufflinks at a much lower cost.  There are reported to be some great jewelry makers in Bangkok.  Can anyone give some guidance?  This could be great advice for members getting ready to make a jewerly purchase for Christmas for a wife or girlfriend. I always thought if I was buying jewelry Bangkok would be a great place to do it.  As with most purchases I am sure you want a reputable vendor.

Bah, I'd rather go for a pair of modest, double-sided, sterling silver cufflinks. You can easily find those on eBay for under $50.

Dunhill's cufflinks are not as well made as Longmire's. Firstly that Dunhill is not a jeweller. The only comparable houses would be Cartier, Boucheron, etc.

For a simple squared cuff in silver, no need to see a jeweller, silver is the same and look also. Can not compare to Cartier which makes very hard to do jewels, not just links.
