Yes, I am a high school senior. I don't know as much about tux's as I do about high end casual, and streetwear, and denim so I come in here to ask about the use of cuff links this weekend for prom. I rented a tux, it fits very well, but they gave me a shitload of cuff links, and to my knowledge you only needed them in your shirt cuffs. Where else are they used.

BTW, its a Calvin Klein 2 button tux, black shirt, black vest, purple tie (girls dress). Square toe patent leather lace up dress shoes.

PS. Only button top button right?

Two are cufflinks (the bigger ones), the rest are studs for the formal shirt (they replace the buttons). And yes, just button the top button on your jacket.

Wear a white shirt brosef, or you will feel the full wrath of SF.

Ain't even gonna talk about the shoes.

If you still want to preserve the juvenile colour-matching spirit of a highschool prom, I suggest you ditch the purple tie and just go with a purple pocketsquare instead.
